In my opinion, film theory was born out of the 1960s counterculture movement. This period saw several attempts to bring together various artistic disciplines into a single discipline called New Art, or sometimes Neo-(New) Realism who likes real money roulette games. One of these movements was Cinema Studies, a term coined by French theorists Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. We look into this movement in more detail below.
What Film Theory is…
The field of study which I have chosen as my “career” is known as film theory. It’s the academic study of cinema, which includes not only the theory behind what we watch on screens (cinema studies), but also how it’s made (film production). The reason that I’ve decided to go down this road is because I love movies and I want to enjoy them for many years to come. As such, I’m interested in all aspects of filmmaking; from the storyboards drawn up during pre-production, right through to the final cut. However, studying film theory doesn’t mean you need to become a filmmaker yourself – there are other career paths available.
Peak Hollywood
From the beginning of cinema, one thing has always been clear: films were made by top online casino usa players with lots of money to spend. In fact, when we think about how the medium started, it seems almost ridiculous given its modern image. When Thomas Edison invented his Kinetoscope, he had no idea whether anyone would be willing to pay him to show them moving images. To make matters worse, at first, they weren’t even able to create the films themselves! Instead, they had to import European technology which meant they were often quite poor quality, so much so that early filmmakers didn’t even bother showing their work at all. Eventually, some of them were successful enough to attract investors, who wanted in on the ground floor…
Conclusion
With so many films from Hollywood’s Golden Age inspiring things like cloths, online slot themes and movie trailers, it’s easy to forget just how influential the studios have been over the last century. Although it may seem like the industry has gone downhill since then, there is still plenty going on in terms of cinematography, editing techniques and even special effects.
