@Jen – Whoah, seems we lived a parallel life or something! I am leaving end of Aug. for the Ultimate Train Challenge and then off to SE Asia afterwards. Ohhh, LOVE Nova Scotia. You should look up Cailin O’Neil of Travel Yourself! She’s aces. :)
Hi Jeannie! I just read your blogs on Calgary – my hometown. It seems we have a lot in common. I also went to St. Francis High School, my unwavering fave hangout is The Ship (since university days) and we hit the Silver Dragon for dim sum religiously. Hilarious. Where are you traveling now? I’m on the South Shore in Nova Scotia eating lots of fish and drinking too much Keith’s and alternating between getting sunburned and rained on – maritime style. Cheers my friend!
@Eli – There is a lot of green space and a huge park runs alongside the Bow River, called Prince’s Island. I use to run or walk there frequently. So, yeah, get on checking it out. :)
@Alison – Silly, thought I replied to your hilarious comment. You know, I never noticed that before, but you’re so right!
Lots of nice green space in Calgary! I lived in Alaska for fifteen years and I never really made it out to do a good tour of Canada. I guess after the Eastern Hemisphere I’ll have to see the “other” North America.
@Tom – Well then, hoof and laugh away!
Loved the pics. Great pic for hoofing it. It made me laugh
Thanks for this little taste of Calgary! I’d love to get out west someday. Actually I’d really love to drive coast to coast… wanna come? :) I also think it’s funny that somewhere as landlocked as Calgary has a pub called the Ship and Anchor :)
